Custom furniture

  • Do you take fully custom commissions?

Yes. Most of our work is bespoke. Share your brief — even a rough sketch — and we'll guide you from there.

  • Can I send reference images?

Yes. After submitting the Custom Orders form, email reference images to hello@vintageeffects.co.ke for fastest review.

  • Do you offer site visits?

Yes. For built-in cabinetry, wardrobes, and restoration projects, site visits are typically included.

Timelines

  • What is the typical lead time?

Standard in-stock pieces ship in 1–3 weeks. Bespoke and built-in work usually takes 4–8 weeks depending on complexity.

  • Can you accommodate urgent projects?

We do our best where possible. Let us know your deadline up front and we'll be honest about feasibility.

Payment

  • Which payment methods do you accept?

M-Pesa, Pesapal, Flutterwave, and Pay on Delivery for select orders. Payment integration is currently being finalized — orders are confirmed manually by our team.

  • Will you ask for my card or M-Pesa PIN?

No. We never request card details or M-Pesa PINs on this website.

  • Do you require a deposit for bespoke projects?

Yes. A deposit is typically required to lock in materials and the build slot. Terms are agreed in your quote.

Delivery

  • Where do you deliver?

We deliver across Kenya. Delivery cost depends on the destination and the piece. We coordinate installation for larger jobs.

  • Do you offer installation?

Yes, for cabinetry, wardrobes, kitchens, and most large pieces. Confirmed in your quote.

Restoration

  • What can be restored?

Doors, floors, tables, chairs, cabinetry, and most timber surfaces. We assess the piece, then quote sanding, repair, and refinishing.

  • Can you work on-site?

Yes. Most restoration work is carried out on-site with dust-managed sanding.

Materials & care

  • Which woods do you work with?

Primarily mahogany, oak, teak, cypress, and select pine — chosen for grain, density, and behaviour in Kenyan climates.

  • How do I care for my piece?

Wipe surfaces with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh detergents and prolonged moisture. Re-oil annually for longevity.

Made-to-order

  • Can made-to-order items be cancelled?

Cancellation policies depend on the project stage. Please check our return policy or contact us directly.
